Broomfield
To begin, Broomfield is an ideal place to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The city holds 700 acres of developed parks with miles of trails and a developed trail system. In addition, families enjoy 45 playgrounds, two recreation centers with swimming pools and acres of open space, play fields and reservoirs, not to mention the two expansive HOA recreation centers in Anthem. Miles and miles (281 miles and counting) of trails throughout the city ensure that an afternoon spent outdoors is never far out of reach.
Broomfield enjoys a local Lifetime Fitness Center, recognized nationally with year-round indoor and outdoor fitness offerings. Broomfield is popular for its numerous amazing ethnic and breakfast restaurants, especially Azitra Indian restaurant, which is said to have outstanding dishes and a quality wine selection. There are countless things to do around town, such as Broomfield Bay Aquatic Park, Paul Derda Recreation Center, movie theaters, attending events at the 1st Bank Center, or the Broomfield Veterans Memorial Museum and Mamie Doud Library and Auditorium.
Shopping selection is second to none! Enjoy Flatiron Crossing, the second largest mall in the state of Colorado, Orchard town Center (technically in Westminster but bordering on Broomfield) with outdoor concerts and farmers market and the new Denver Premium Outlets (also bordering on Broomfield) with high end shopping including Armani Exchange, Cole Haan and Kate Spade to name a few. As for schools, Broomfield is home to public and charter schools, both highly rated.
And currently under development is the massive regional science research park called "Baseline". Over the next 20 years, Broomfield City and County, real estate developers and others hope to transform the development into a park similar to Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. Currently under construction is the Butterfly Pavillion, a new $33 million state-of-the-art facility. The new facility, which will house the pavilion and its affiliate, the Center for Invertebrate Research and Conservation, will be 60,000 square feet — twice the size of its current facility. It will be the cornerstone for Broomfield’s science district on the 900-acre Baseline neighborhood.
The new homes in Broomfield are priced beginning around the high $500,000’s.
